Welcome to Xerte Online Toolkits

Xerte is an award-winning suite of browser-based tools that allow anyone with a web browser to create interactive learning materials quickly and easily.
Xerte Online Toolktis can be extended by developers using Xerte. Accessibility has been a cornerstone of Xerte since it's inception and we aim to provide the benchmark against which all other authoring tools are judged.
The project began inwhen we began writing some general classes that would develop flash-based content faster, using some object-oriented programming techniques. We are a friendly xerts positive global community of users and developers working together to produce high quality tools for the creation of media rich, interactive and highly accessible elearning content.
The tools were receiving a lot of positive reaction, although we saw that many xegte were struggling with the more technical nature of the tools at that time.
Before the end ofthe team received their first taste of recognition after being shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Awards. The approach also made it very easy for developers to create new tools for authoring new types of content, and before long the software included nearly 30 templates for presenting different types of media and interactivity.
